Aegean Map: Minoans

Damn those Minoans are really gonna mess with my ADHD completionist streak.
I *get* that they're intended to be impossible but couldn't the Devs at least have given them a bigger starting city?
A size 3 or 4 starting city seems justifiable from a historical perspective (given how much older the Minoan civilisation is than either the Mycenaeans or Trojans) and might help make them playable (albeit extremely challenging) for those of us with an obsessive streak. *twitch twitch*

Afterthought: Even a bigger starting city wouldn't help much, it would just screw the Minoan food production during early game. About the only way I can think of that might make them competitive (in full domination) is starting with enough Knowledge to buy a Sea yield tech on turn 1. *shrug*

Thanks for the reply, truly much appreciated. TBH I hadn't thought of tweaking the victory conditions- I've won with every other faction on every map with the same set of victory conditions (pretty much full domination) so a dialled down game probably wouldn't feel like a satisfying victory.

Minoans, ahahaha! It's the devs trolling the dedicated player base. What fun.

I refuse to adjust victory conditions to cheese a win... insist on winning it legit. Which can include fighting on to clear the map after a defeat on stars.

I can see, just barely through thick fog, how victory as Minoans might be possible on normal difficulty. I'm not sure if I can actually pull it off... will no doubt try a great many times.
