I believe he said you can rush it in 2 hours however it's fairly typical to do in 3-4 hours. He has also said he wants to do free content updates for it so that could easily expand to 5-6+ hours.

But you don't really measure the value of a game in it's length, it's easy to add in slow travel or boring filler quests to pad out the play time.

I'd much rather have a tight 3 hour experience with 2.5h of good content than a 100h behemoth with 5h of good content.

At any rate 3 hours of entertainment for $20 is a little over $6.50 an hour there isn't much paid for entertainment out there that's cheaper.

Problem is, this game is under 3 hours long and still has filler quests.

You can beat all the quest in 3 hours. The only thing I didn't bother was getting all the paint cans.
Most of the quest are just getting an item to the NPC. Mostly random quest that are boring and are what you would call padding time.
This game should be at most $10. It doesn't matter if only one person made it.

It probably takes 3-4 hours normal playthrough but 6-8 hours for a full play

Most streamers finish it in 1.5 hours. So for my part I'm going to wait for a big sale!

Trust me I'm nearly two hours in and I've barely scraped the surface but maybe thats cause I like taking my time and investing myself into the world and its lore

its a horror game.
the very essence of horror games is that they dont take hundreds of hours to compelte.
you can beat every FNAF game in one day, aside of the lastest one which is a weird open world thing.
but i digress. horror games are almost always 3-5 hours dude.

You only prove my point here...DUDE. FNAF is 4€, not 20!
fnaf takes like 30 mintutes to beat at most so thats not fair.

It's so stupid how much people think that's a valid point. I didn't know being a solo dev means you get a pass on basic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I had 3 games this week with that problem.
Swordship released as an arcade game thats solidly filled with content but doesnt warrant a price of 20€ in terms of its complexity or entertainment value AND Impaler, a game that is well done and fun, but can be beaten in 20 minutes without any major replayvalue.

Choo Choo Charles is just the third game this week i refund because it asks too much for too less.
