knowledge required to build lamp post?

i'm trying to build a lamp post in my new base but it says i need knowledge (?)
p.s i'm level 22 lol

You're talking about the powered one that uses a glass jar as part of the materials?

I don't know if there's a quest or something to unlock that. I do, however, know that there's a random drop item in the form of a book (can't remember the title) that gives you knowledge of how to build the powered stuff once you read it.

You can complete the generator quest at one of the survivor camps which rewards you with the skill book to unlock powered items. Additionally you can find the book as Raven mentioned
