Incredibly long load times

I haven't measured them manually, but starting the game, starting a new game, and loading existing games can take well over 15m.

I have 8GB of RAM, a Core i5 2500k, and a Western Digital WDC10EZEX.
I can check the graphics card too if you want.
Watching my memory use in the Task Manager shows it sitting at 90-96% memory use during load.

I'm sitting square at minimum spec. Has anyone else run into this?

I timed my load this time, and had it come out to 30m.
It took a further 10 for my character to finish loading into the world - I had audio but no animation.

Do you have the game on an HDD?

Yeah that looks like an HDD, is it 7200 RPM?

7200RPM, yes, according to Google.

My graphics card is a nVidia GeForce GT 1050.
(more accurately, it's my brother's; I need to replace my case after it warped during a recent move.)

So after the videos played, it took 30 minutes for the main menu to load, and then after character creation it took 15 to load in?

No, the main menu loaded in under a minute. I timed it to be sure.

The single-player world is the part that took 30m to load in.

Is it 4GB?

Ah, correction-it's a 1030, therefore 2GB.

Out of curiosity, how does it run when you are actually in the game?

There's a period of 5-10m in the beginning with more severe lag, significantly reduced if I logged out inside a small building (I use a garage for a base for this reason specifically), and then some lag upon performing initial animations, and then it mostly works.

Blessedly, I have yet to have a zombie rubberband into my face.
