Pickaxe???

The game doesn't have a pickaxe or create an improvised pickaxe. I looked almost all over the map and couldn't find a pickaxe, is there a right place to find it, or how to create stones for metals???

Much of it is just RNG, and I usually never have issues finding them. I think the game tries to be fairly realistic in placement of items. And there aren't a lot of pickaxes in normal homes, so it's going to be less likely in residential areas.

When they have been in residential areas, they are normally in the cabinets that have a few tools. You'll often find a cabinet with a pickaxe, sledgehammer, etc, together.

If you can find commercial areas, that's where they are more easy to find.

Yeah... there is no improvised pickaxe. You just need to find a normal pickaxe first, then you can start creating metals after building the forge and mining ores. If you can find urban areas with hardware stores, those have a pretty good chance of having pickaxes... other good locations are storage facilities or inside garages.
