A bit of help for those aving truble with mods
Hey everyone. so im making this little message to help those who have problem's regarding mods coming from nexus mods.

As you know the game got many update and fix so people like me who didn't play the game for a long time and modded the game way before had trouble with mods..

How to solve the problem ? well it's very simple go into your appdata/local/TSSGame and delete that file turn the steam cloud off and re install the game and there you go the game is back with all the new buildings weapons and everything new !!

I hope i can help some of you with this problem. (sorry for my bad english) have a nice survival and gameplay on humanitz !

We highly discourage the use of mods while we are in developmental early access. A lot of tickets flood in because of deleted saves, crashing, and corrupting files. We update the game roughly monthly/every month and a half, and a lot of things we can't work on because people have these mods installed.

Thank you ArKon for posting this and for coming to the Discord and allowing us to work through your issues :)

You don't need to an an apostrophe to plural forms of words. The addition of an s doesn't require it.

You only need to add an apostrophe to show possession (Tim's ball) or when two words are shortened and added together (won't, don't, shouldn't etc.)

Hope that helps.

Don't forget plural possessives such as James' or Jesus'

Is there a reason the game is ‘modable’ in first place?

Because modders decided to start modding it. They don't have access to the dev kit toolset yet, so some modders are doing what they can to file-manipulate before we hit 1.0 later this year, which ultimately breaks people's games every update. Our official Mods team will come online, using the appropriate dev kit tools, at that time and we have some bangers from the zombie game community :)

Yep Understand that. What I’m saying is why does the game design allow for modding without the dev tools? Can’t the files /code be encrypted or something? Not saying it’ll be impossible with that approach just makes it harder.

Anyway just found it odd to highly discourage modding then allow the ease of modding to the degree it seems to be.

Like Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park: "Life....finds a way"

and in order to help people with a lot of their crashes/bug, most of it comes down to them modding their games. So yes, we highly discourage using mods until OFFICIAL mod support comes out. Otherwise, that's not our issue, it's on the modder to keep up with our updates.

That’s like not putting a fence up in your yard because your dog will eventually be able to dig under it :)
Does the game design have any preventative encryption and things, or it has none?

Look man, I'm not here to get into an argument or "who is more knowledgeable" in this discussion. I don't know anything about the coding of the game, it's not my area. One of my responsibilities is to field the stuff that breaks with the game have have to fix it, so in short, using unofficial mods will result in crashes and corrupted files. Use them at your own risk. I wont be replying to this thread any longer.

Who is arguing? If you don’t know just say you don’t know like you’ve just done.

I work in software and always interested in real root cause of problems not the symptoms that spawn off them, that’s all. The actual root cause here seems to be lack of preventative game design (it seems). That’s not a personal attack on you or anyone just an observation.

Enjoying the game otherwise though.

People mod games all time and 99% of them dont have official mod tools. This is literally the how the modding scene works, lol. I'm guessing you have never used mods before
