I think you need to work on the key rebinding.

Like anyone with half a brain, I use ESDF for a natural hand position and always rebind my keys in games to match my wants and needs.
I have F bound to move right and G for my "interact/use" key. It seems like there's some hard code actions still bound to these keys as I have to press F to pick some things up and pressing G seems to be performing a healing procedure of some sort.
Any chance you can fix the game to properly use a mapping instead of hard coding actions to various keys?

Did you rebind the keys that are also tied to those interactions? Do you recall what the other F actor was?

Just ran into the same problem with my friend. He wants to use E for interaction and F for kicking. Now he can't build anything at all anymore, because it'll still kick while in the build menu. The build menu 'interaction' was not rebound to E, but F no longer worked.

*edit* I double checked and did what gumbydust suggested. I had to unbind E from rotate camera, and then that works. the only thing that could be changed, is that the prompt will still say F even though I rebound the interact key.
