Starting a new game after patch?

Hi is it smart to play on my old save or is it better to make a new game for the new patch for the spawn locations of the new items and so on ?

I think every new update gives a new game feeling to me. So I prefer new game new start :)

We will always recommend a new game save for each update until we hit 1.0 later this year. That way you don't encounter any residual coding issues or conflicts, as well as experience all the new content in case you've already uncovered your map. Some things are coded to not spawn unless you have not been to that area yet or populated at the beginning of a new game session.
