What I'd love to see: taking hold of houses
I'm sure this was asked already but ... wouldn't it possible to take hold of a an abandoned house ?

I mean, enstabilish propriety ? Clean it ? Placing/removing/moving fornitures ? Cause it would be a GREAT add to this game.

You absolutely can fort up inside an existing building, covering the windows, putting up defenses, and so on.

You can also clear building interiors of stuff you don't want, and place stuff of your own as well. However, you can't move around anything that's preplaced, and there are no options to create your own version of anything that you get rid of.

Yes but no: as far as I know, existing stuff like breakable doors tend to respawn after a while. So if you fortify a house, you risk to get locked in/out. Also I'm not sure but placeables may despawn as well.

Finally, what I wanted to say is exactly that I wish to have more options for my newly fortified house: repair beds/couches, clean the floor, fix broken doors/windows, install electrical stuff like generators so I can turn on lights/fridges etc, install water collectors/tanks so one can have a shower (since someone said survivors should "wash their a**es" to avoid getting smelled by zombies - yeah, I know it was a joke, but... hell, why not ?)

I mean, I wouldn't like to live in a dirty house. Also it should not even be that difficult to implement.

We're working on it to allow you to fully clean a building, the problem is dismantling meshes and as you noted, some things that are respawning that shouldn't be. We'll get there :)

Flashback to FO4 and clearing just a bit too much with one of those scrapping mods...

Oh, cool.
Not a problem waiting, I'm just happy knowing you're working on it.
