New players, but we are having issue with "progression" the starter zone "car" has zero parts for starters pun intended, after searching for quite a bit of hours I have found 1 belt, 1 NAV, 1 starter, 7 car batteries... and 0 fuel pumps lol

Also crafting bench wise we seem to be stuck and progressing with furnace "cement" generally speaking most games progression doesn't make you find the item needed that you can only craft once you assemble the bench that requires said part...

Now I took the 50% price building to help but we cannot find these items, so im asking where would be a good place that doesn't require a century long jog? Or am I just getting bad rng?

If you exit the starter spawn and turn right, continue on that road (around 5-10 minutes on foot depending on the resistance you face). On the left you will run into an auto shop that has a high chance of car parts. There are also two storage units in the auto shop, be sure to breakdown those doors as well.

ETA: also make sure you are checking all drivable vehicles that you come across. Part picking can come in handy.

The rusted out cars with the doors open that can be destroyed for scrap and sheet metal, have a chance to drop a random car part.

Glad to see you got your car running. How many parts a car starts with already is total RNG, it could have 0, 1 or 2 (possibly 3).

For your future playthroughs from the starter zone, once you exit the driveway you can either go left or right. Both directions will have broken down car chassis that you can disassemble using either a stone hammer or axe (until you find something better). The resulting pile will have a chance to drop with any of the 4 car parts except navigation.

What gumbydust said up above is correct, you will find practically ever part you need fromt hat Autoshop but it's a pretty long run and if you are just starting the game it might be challenging to get there on foot. Not to mention hauling all the weight back.

As for the cement problem, it can spawn in lockers and on the ground. Your first attempt should be to get to the Hardware store (turn left from your driveway and keep going along the road until you get to a small pond on your left. Past that you will find a shopping complex with the Hardware store. There's about 3 or 4 of them on the map and you should search one every chance you get as they will have everything you need for building parts (nails, hoses, funnels, tools, feritilizer, and of course cement.

If you have cleared out this hardware store and still no luck on cement, you can go down to grid E2. There, about 2/3 down from the top of the grid box, and almost touching the border of E1 and E2 will be a hardware store that will ALWAYS have a few bags of cement and fertilizer lying on the floor in front of the entrance.
Be careful though, there is a camp with hostile NPC humans close by with ARs and AKs.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Our overall issue was definitely not knowing or ever being told (that I rememeber) the broken down cars supply resources of any kind. Might shove that in the tutorial it feels pretty pivotal, maybe make it how you get the belt for the truck while blocking its path out xD and say it's only a chance of course normally :p

But that solved a lot of our upset over resources as well, cuz we went from no scrap or sheets hardly ever to plenty more then we needed!
