Request to have harvested veggies go back to stacking.
I've got a pretty humble farm as far as that goes, only 16 plots which I split evenly between the four types of crops currently available.

Unfortunately, stockpiling a respectable quantity of veggies to serve as a regular source of food, whether directly or via turning into canned items, is quickly becoming impossible because of the storage it requires. A single harvest cycle of all 16 plots completely fills (and then some) a single storage cabinet because each veggie is a single item now.

Even turning potatoes into booze and cabbage into sealed cans of soup (which stack presumably because they're sealed instead of fresh; please don't change that) is only a slight solution to the initial storage; the former trades needing veggie storage for needing booze storage and the latter requires a steady supply of empty cans.

On two related note to this request, I'd like to put in my request for canned tomato soup.

I'd also like to request more canned items than just cabbage soup being made as sealed instead of fresh.

I definitely second having more varieties of sealed canned foods. Storing all the food from farms isn't practical since each item has its own entry thanks to the spoilage timer. I have seen games that keep spoilage timers while still allowing stacking. From what I have seen they just display the oldest item on top.

I'd be fine with the stack just spoiling at the same rate altogether. If it costs me 4-5 veggies when the whole stack goes bad, fair enough and that's my lookout for not using them quickly enough. Besides, I'm losing them to spoilage right now regardless, because I don't have enough cans to use them all with, and a buildable fridge doesn't have anywhere near enough interior space (not to mention needing to be powered to do its thing, which sucks up gas).

I suppose the only other choice is to leave them unharvested until I'm ready to use them. If they're still in whatever state the game assigns them as crops instead of items, maybe they won't spoil?
