A couple ideas to aid navigation

Sometimes it is frustrating to need to constantly check the map to be sure we're heading in the direction we want. I had an idea that I don't think would be difficult to implement. if you have a compass equipped in your hotbar, i know it already gives you a compass in the corner, but what if you could set a 'next destination marker' on the world map and as long as you have the compass equipped, it has a little area on the screen that shows which direction to go?

I like this idea. Or, when the compass comes up, the marker is on the compass to give a better idea for direction.

That would help a bit.

I think that's a fair solution due to the game not pausing when the map is up.

We're working on a couple things to help aid your navigational woes :) Something a little more user friendly, especially while driving...you know, maybe something from "the old world" when technology used to work...

Cool... I was thinking even something as simple as a red arrow pointing from your character in the direction of your marker.
