it seem that in contrairy of will smith in im a legend, we dont start with our lovely companion...

started a new game, rushed it in easy, search for more than one hour everywhere just for try/test the dog...

no dog.

when i think, i pick "dogs count 4" in mod "hahaha i ll have 4 buddy with me" and im not able to find a single one lol

Police station at D1, and a house in E3 above the gas station where the road curves. Crafting the dog bowl, then dropping the bowl in front of the dog works. I just wonder how the dogs are supposed to heal, and get their energy back

To heal / replenish energy feed him dog food or meat (raw and cooked both works). Just drop it on the floor.
Seems like he does not eat fish. But i only tried with cooked salmon.

I play single mode, but i can't find any dog in there, i dkn whether the dev was update this content in single mode or not yet ?

In my world the canine companion was found at Grid D3, at the junk yard in the bottom right corner of the Grid.

If you look in the Guides section of Steam Discussions, there's an amazing Dog Companion guide with map showing the 12 spawn locations, created by the amazing CombatReady. Hope it helps you find him :)

I'm 25 hours in and not wanting to see any maps or read guides because of potential spoilers - I have not come across a pooch yet : /

Couldn't even find a funnel after 24 hours of gameplay so I just consoled it in.

For those playing Offline or solo, I strongly suggest to set the Dog Companion Spawn to 4 as 1 feels like blind luck if you find him. With 4 spawn locations, you can at least have another dog if your first one dies and it's not a pain to find him again.
