You don't like Q/E for rotating camera? WASD controls?
Just booted up Alien Swarm to see what it should feel like and yes it is just so so so so much better. And i played with M+K and it is amazing how easy the controls are and in the words of Todd "it just works".
So developers, just buy alien swarm and see how it should be for a top-down game.
Mouse is only for aiming and WASD is walking. Simple and works perfect
Are you trying to use a 60 yr old mouse n KB that was never meant for gaming?
Chef_423 Sorry, was that supposed to be funny?
Naa, just facts. Sad facts at that. You're 1000 series card with a mUSe n Kb.
There is no way the controls for Alien Swarm would even work for this game (you cannot spin the map). you want controls for a game with a single route and no camera rotation to work in a 360 deg environment. Can't be done so most likely this game is not for you.
For the record, rotate you camera view in game to point North (can tell by map if needed). Now never spin the camera again and you have what you want, W will go north S south and so on. The mouse pointer is not normally there with a weapon equipped and is totally controlled by the mouse.
