Fireplaces don't warm

It seems they are only for cooking as it doesn't take my cold off nor improve my temperature. Am i missing something or it is just a bug?

sometimes its takes like 1-2 minutes before heat warms u up, i tried then the heat came especially when there is a snow blaze outside and ur caught on it. it will take time. never happened on my game that the fireplace did not work.

It just happened to me. I am wearing the winter coat and standing at a fireplace for minutes but my char is freezing. I have read that there's a bug with temp and you have to quit clothes, go outside and when entering inside, put them on again, That or quitting to menu and reloading again should fix the bug.

I can confirm that reloading resets your temp to normal, but any fire is extinguised even if it was lit when saving. It works, but i think that is just because some things or states are not saved and after loading, the game resets all to a medium or normal state. Have not tried to quit clothes and going outside, i have to try that also.

I, too, have had the janky temperature behavior pop up. Would sit in front of the stove for several minutes with no change, still shivering, but when I would walk outside and back in suddenly my thermometer went from blue to orange? Weird!

yea this happens to me too, i stand in front of a lit fireplace with a winter coat on and still blue temp and shivering.
