Ore Locations?

Hi all,

I have only found one spot with ore and it is way back towards my initial spawn point.
(Far Drive if I have to make it)
Have not found any more since.
My base is in the main town "Hudson".
Any guidance on where I might find more near there would be appreciated.
if ore node generation is procedural, then where should I look?
I never see any on side of the road as I drive, so do I need to hot foot it to some zone/areas in particular?

Ores ie iron,zinc,saltpetre,coal and copper can be found in various locations around the map normally around game spawn points. As the northern area around Radio tower is designated a harder starting location and the southern region is the easiest. More ores spawn further south. It might be advisable to do a ore run with a vehicle and just drive around and mine as you go.

i find ore locations close to some of the hostiles POI,
you can also find ones close to roads, just need to look around while driving :)
i marked on the map all ore locations (with a blue fish icon)

added a screenshot of my map if it helps..
not sure if the ore spawn locations are random

Thank you all for the help.
I found a few spots on the road back towards my original spawn location for Iron, Copper, Zinc, S.Peter, Coal and Stone.

Sorry Ronin, when you look at a grid square on any game map, players usually divide it up even further by saying keypad 8, or keypad 7. Some might use Num Pad 6, Num Pad 2. Basically you are further dividing up the game grid square like C2, into an additional 9 smaller squares as if you laid your keypad over that grid. Hope that helps! :)

I like the quadrant divisions which are-
LUQ/MUQ/RUQ- Left Upper Quadrant/ Mid Upper Quadrant/Right Upper Quadrant
LMQ/CQ/RMQ - Left Middle Quadrant/Centre Quadrant/Right middle Quadrant
LLQ/MLQ/RLQ - Left Lower Quadrant/Mid Lower Quadrant/Right Lower Quadrant

So you would say iron found @ Grid D2 RUQ or Grid D2 LLQ
comes from my medical background i guess.

so you have a legend for your splendid map ? :) fishes mean ore i saw that in the thread, but the rest ?

It is likely that ore nodes might not be of a fixed location and even if they are what type might be randomised with each new game. Then again they could be fixed, who knows, anyway, here is my map after 78 days, I'm fairly sure I've found all of them on my map.

Triangles...
Blue = Zinc
Red = Iron
White = Stone
Green = Copper
Yellow = Coal or Saltpeter (ran out of colours sorry).

Additional markers...
Green square = Ammo container
Blue square = Military container
White car = Gas station
Yellow car = Usable generic vehicle (nothing special)
Green car = @B1 & E4 = Van, @C3 = Zombigini & Police SUV
