Where the hell are nails????

I literally only need nails to progress the game at this point, and its ridiculous trying to obtain them.

Guns and ammo are less of a problem than nails at this point....

Where are the nails? Cars don't seem to have any, I've killed over 100 zombies and explored 4 squares on the map.

Why are they so impossible to find?

Managed to fix up a car and make it driveable, then proceed to do a billion flips after hitting a zombie, and then got permanently bugged, preventing any movement, and causing the jump button to make me fall through the map.

Think I'll come back when they patch nails into the game.

Nails are randomly found.
I found some in a warehouse and a hardware style store.
Even found them randomly elsewhere too

You can also make nails at workbench

you need nails to build a workbench to build nails.. i have now played several hours, running around and have not found any box of nails or nails at all. So add me. Its pretty stupid not to have nails and running around like a chicken with everything inside my already military bag, weapons and good loot but still without fcking nails.

You might already know this, so don't bite my head off if you do - but most nails spawn in little boxes that you have to open manually in your inventory, like painkiller pill bottles, matches and seeds.

There is a big city east of the radio tower that has a hardware store with plenty of nails for you. I'll see about getting a screenshot.

You would also want to pick up the radio receiver for the radio tower from the music store while you are there.

Agreed, there seems to be a lack of nails at the beginning. When I was younger we used to dismantle pallets for wooden planks and nails. If you have a hammer you should be able to recycle the pallets next to the shed.

Perhaps the "Starter Point" should have a small, pre-set selection of items? Like 1 melee weapon, 1 bottle water, 1 good food item, 1 box 20 nails, and 1 box 10 matches. Or something similar. Unlike some of the guys here having bad luck, I'm overflowing with nails. I've built 2 base locations and am still sitting on 200+ nails. Unless they do the small preset I mentioned, it just the luck of RNG-esus.

Nails can be obtained by dismantling furniture in houses with chimneys.
Scrap metal can be obtained by destroying an abandoned car.
Use them and wood to build a workbench.
Using the workbench, you can make a large amount of nails from sheet metal and scrap metal.
