How use simple trap and fish trap

Put bait in it, then there is a random chance every X number of minutes it will produce meat.

If you have bait, cast your line near water, wait for the circular bar to flash and jump to the half way mark, start tapping LMB to reel it in. Once you get the FISH HOOKED notification you should be able to spam click to reel it in

That's because the fishing mechanic is confusing and honestly just dumb. I've been "spamming the reel in button" for who knows how long, and nothing even seems to be happening. why are we spamming anything? Why not just hold the mouse button until the tension gets high, then let off? as it is right now, nobody understands how this works outside of the development team.

Fishing is incredibly easy. Cast the line, wait for a bite (you get a notification), then reel in (don't spam) until you see Fish Hooked (you get a notification), then you just LMB until you get all the line in.

Then it doesn't work on controller. I just ended up throwing the pole down on the ground as no matter how many times I spammed the trigger, the line meter just filled up until it was full. Also, the sound that plays, and your guys only reeling in for a second or so before stopping is just confusing and misleading.
