But it's been a while, so I might have forgotten stuff, and there might be a bit that was added after I did so (I know talking with the Sleepers was added after, at least).
Don't mind spoilers, though.
Probably, yeah.
It just kind of struck me as odd (after nearly 100h of playing... I'm a little slow... lol), since I assume it's not exactly a common procedure/upgrade.
Though IIRC, VAKT's shadowy employer is Cairo? So it's possible they saw what happened to Jesse and how convenient it was for navigating through the zone, and figured their VAKT pawn should be similarly-equipped.
I guess if that was the case, though, I'd have preferred some kind of mention of it ingame.
Like, if I woke up from cryosleep with a gravity arm, I'd have some questions, indentured servant or not.
Go ahead and spoil away. If I don't already know it, it's because I missed it, or have forgotten.
I've gone through the campaign multiple times, and I'm running through zone patrol a second time right now.
I've seen them referred to as "siblings", but I don't recall any direct connection, other than crossing paths briefly and both being pawns.
Oh, I guess this is what you mean?

I totally forgot about that. Just got to this part again.
So Chops did make Lexi's arm as well, and apparently there's some connection to the Coral Snake there?
Now I'm just more confused, because I'm not seeing how it connects.
Maybe the Coral Snake has more answers? I guess I'll see when I get back there.
I haven't played Half-Life (well, barely...), so I don't know how that would tie together (I also don't mind spoilers for Half-Life, for what it's worth).
I got the impression that zone patrol kind of happened somewhere in the middle of/at the same time as the campaign, but I could be wrong.
First time I played through, episode 3 wasn't out yet. I played through what there was of the campaign, then zone patrol, then episode 3 when it was released, and that felt fitting to me, chronologically speaking. I may have misunderstood, though.
At the beginning of Familiar Room, the detective says you've been on ice "only a few weeks", and at the beginning of Sister Location, when Jesse meets Lexi, it sure sounds like Lexi's "been through some stuff" already. To me, that slots zone patrol neatly between episodes 2 & 3.
Doesn't mean that the whole time twin theory is impossible, as far as those things go, but it certainly doesn't make it my favorite.
And like I said, my memory isn't what it used to be. Case in point, I totally forgot you meet Lexi in episode 3. I think my mind is stuck in the state it was in when we were still waiting for the campaign to be finished
Still! It's a theory.
I've gone back to Coral Snake, but that discussion doesn't lead to much in terms of answers. They do mention Jesse destroying the Calico Object, so Zone Patrol at least happens after episode 2.
