As for a vanilla feat, its not that far to jesus run from starter island to main port, so as long as you brought one ship from other archipelago its doable.
There might be some recovery exploiting to try as well. The mechanic was changed some time ago so idk what is possible.
And ofc there is saveeditonline which lets you get all 6 in 1 port easy.

only items in actor inv will move with, all else is left behind.
Now there is another mod, 'passage dude', where you can buy a passanger ticket to another island under certain conditions (you just teleport there a few days later).
With both, you can sure manage to have several ships docked to a same city. If you are planning on building a fleet of sorts, I suggest Fort Aestrin, as it has the largest dock.
