where are the new islands?

So I have got the new update, on my game it says !'m on v 0.22 however on my maps, I can't see any new islands and all the stuff is the same? What is going on??

+1 on that. Also I'm on day 5 or so after the update (ingame) and so far I've not seen any Missions to there.

The Islands are outside of the current map, Southwest of Emerald, 28N 3E

So you have to discover them? Can I only purchase the map with the new islands on the new islands?

Just to warn you, the area is a nightmare. No visibility, storms every day, reef everywhere.
Personally I give up on the game. Every time I try it again I never have a good time...

If you don't want to play, the choice is yours.

Fire Fish Lagoon does not really storm every day, but it does fog up a few hours every day. Fog and storm are independent, meaning that they may or may not happen at the same time. And when they do... yes I'd suggest drop the anchor as it's just too unsafe to sail on. I also do no recommend trying to dock at night or in fog before you are familiar with each port's entrance terrain.

Oh and, don't sail into the lagoon in large ships. it's very shallow and guess what? it's not subject to coastal wave. This means you can easily get stuck in shallows when the wave gets stronger, especially for the 3MJ (who has trouble even getting into Albacore town. 3MJ has two "bulges" along her keel, meaning that she has the deepest "maximum draught" of all ships.

There are no in-game maps that includes FFL or Chronos. There are only the 4 archipelago's map, and an "old world" map including Al'Ankh, Aestrin and Emerald.

There are local maps for local people sold ... locally in local currency. The closest exchange is Dragon Cliffs so... yeah, unless one gets added you'll need to carry some Dragons to pay for stuff. I sailed into Fish Town or whatever it was called, took a good look at the map for sale then headed for the main port which was a lil smaller then I thought it would be, but having no Local coin needed to move on before running out of supplies.
