[BUG] Whole inventory disappeared upon boat recovery.

Same happened to me. Recovered with all the stuff I needed in my inventory. All my items were lose in it, but everything in my boat stayed where it was. I remember playing the game months ago and it was the opposite, you lost boat items and kept your player items

It seems quite unreliable, but I think worst case scenario is that when you sink, you lose everything on the boat, when you pass out, you lose your inventory.

This has been reported for long.
Some lose their stuff on ship, some lose that AND the ship, some lose inventory.

Seems to me that the only "safe" way to recover is to stand firmly in your (not sunken) ship and do it. I did that twice for testing purposes and didn't lose a thing.

It works for ship and cargo but no always items. I did what you said and still lost them.

I think that most reliable way is to empty inventory to ship and then properly recover.
