I ate fish that was black and glowing white and now my hunger bar is gone
I think I broke the game, I cooked fish for way too long and went to bed, woke up and they were black with a white outline, so I ate them anyways. Now my hunger bar is completely gone, eating does nothing now, did I break the game?

Now when I forget that I have fish cooking and sleep, I toss those black glowing things over the side and cut my losses.

Exit and restart.

This happened to me as well. I think this is the revenge of the "cooked blackfin" bug.
Not only does eating cooked blackfin not recover hunger, but it seems it turns off recovery from any food (until you restart the game).

Raw blackfin doesn't have this bug.

Alternatively, I just did a search, and it seems this could be something unrelated to the blackfin hunter, and something to do with sleeping while cooking. I'm unsure which it was, but restarting does seem to fix it.
