Co-op Disconnects
The game really needs Disconnection Protection, or at least a reliable way for people who were literally there in game to rejoin without the game telling them they can't join a game in progress. There is no point to co-op without that protection.

Join friends? Nope. Closed.
Join with code? Code now invalid.

Guys, there is no point to a co-op game if we can't play together, and disconnections are inevitable with international play.

Bump, this just happened to us.
Discounts in single player as well, just add an option to continue or rejoin

They should indeed add an option to continue or rejoin where you were left.

Hello, everyone!

This post will be moved and handled to the "Report a Problem" forum.

Thanks for taking the time in report this situation. Please accept our apologies for the connection issues.

We as players know how frustrating this can be while you are trying to play with your friends. That's why we would like you to try disabling IPv6, may be necessary and help to improve your connection.

To do this on Windows 10:
  1. Open Settings
  2. Click on Network & internet
  3. Click on "Change adapter options"
  4. Right-click on the network connection you are using and select Properties
  5. In the list, find Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and uncheck the box next to it - if this box was already unchecked, please manually recheck it > OK > then manually uncheck it again.
  6. Click OK to apply the changes
To do this on Windows 11:
  1. Open Settings
  2. Click on Network & internet
  3. Click on "Change adapter options"
  4. Under the Related settings section, click the "More network adapter options" setting
  5. Right-click the network adapter and choose the Properties option
  6. Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) option - if this box was already unchecked, please manually recheck it > OK > then manually uncheck it again.
  7. Click the OK button
Although it's not a requirement, restarting the computer to ensure the changes apply correctly is a good idea.

If your IPv6 was already disabled, can you please try the opposite and enable it? To do this, please follow the steps above for your specific Windows OS but check the box next to "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" instead this time.

Take your time to perform this step and keep us updated about the results.

Regards,

Disconnections are still going to happen, regardless of whether v6 is enabled or disabled - complete connection outages, for example; are you likely to implement the ability to reconnect after disconnections, whatever the cause?

exactly this. a person can do everything they can to make sure on their end their connection is as reliable as possible but if an issue happens outside of that such as isp going down briefly or a power outage ect..

it would be nice if the host can retain current or latest progress of the run and the other players can all rejoin the session later. even if that means the host has to avoid playing the game at all to keep the MP run saved to continue later on that would be a great step if possible.
Disconnects are killing our runs. There has got to be priority given to fix this issue. IPV6 uncheck does not work.

Hello All,

We're sorry to hear about this issue with the disconnections. So we can ensure you have the best connection, can you please follow the steps in the article below, and reach out to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to open your NAT?

Troubleshooting Network Connectivity: https://team17.helpshift.com/hc/faq/97-troubleshooting-network-connectivity/

If you are still experiencing connection issues after performing the steps in the article provided above and opening your NAT, can you please tell us the following information:

• What country are you currently living in?
• Steam Download Region (Steam Settings, Downloads)
• What is your internet speed? You can find this here: https://www.speedtest.net/
• Are you using a VPN?
• What is your NAT set to?

Thanks in advance for any further information you can provide - get back to us when you can.

Regards,

It's not about connection quality. It's about being able to reconnect after we disconnect, for whatever reason.

Nothing will be able to completely eliminate the possibility of disconnecting from a game. Sometimes your computer crashes for reasons completely unrelated to SWORN. Sometimes your ISP just fails you. Sometimes Steam's own servers go down. Most games nowadays let you reconnect, even roguelite games similar to SWORN. Disconnecting and being unable to reconnect is, in multiplayer, effectively the end of a run that was up to that point fun.

Can you please at least say if you have no plans to implement this (honestly, big quality-of-life and borderline necessary for multiplayer in any form) feature? People were asking about it back in June.

the issue is not disconnecting because that can happen regardless of how good everything is set up. the issue is players want to be able to reconnect to continue their run with friends instead of starting over.

i like the dev team been replying in forums and understand a copy paste response is most efficient but that last one im quoting seems like the main issue players are trying to report was entirely missed.
