Have you tried the open playtest at all? If not can you please do so and see if the issue contineus on that version instead?

I can't find the other version of this game.
the open playtest link on X(twitter) is:

and it also leads to the same steam page, from where i down loaded demo:

I also tried to delete save data and finished tutorial again, to make sure that window jumps to inform people that online session is open.
After it shows that the online play is available, i press ESC to back to main menu immediately, but it still works like:
Host Game→Failed to create session
Join Game→nothing happens
Join Friends→nothing happens
totally no idea.

It should be working correctly, there are many players currently online who are not experiencing any multi-player issues.
So we can ensure you have the best connection, can you please follow the steps in this article[team17.helpshift.com], and reach out to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to open your NAT?
If you are still experiencing connection issues after performing the steps in the article provided above and opening your NAT, can you please tell us the following information:
- What country are you currently living in?
- Steam Download Region (Steam Settings, Downloads)
- What is your internet speed? Internet Speed Test[www.speedtest.net]
- Are you using a VPN?
- What is your NAT set to?

He had tried the EA version earlier within the last 24 hours, finishing the tutorial. I completed mine today, but when he tried to join he gets the message that he needs to complete the tutorial first...

Hi, and thanks for the prompt response. He did the tutorial a second time since the EA hit, and it works now. But that issue may still linger for others... .
Good game, though we wouldn't mind a greater incidence of Health items, given the difficulty. :)
