Completely stuck in Power Plant

I've gotten a few of the chunks to open the doors, but I have no idea where to get the next one. I've gotten the one under the x and the few from the puzzles. At this point I'm beginning to think I've somehow softlocked myself. I can't get rid of the electricity in any of the pools, and I can't cross the large electric beams that have metal under them.

My only working idea is that I can somehow get the chests behind the pipes in the room with the two joust knights, but I have no idea how..

If you don't know how you might go about getting into those chests, I might recommend doing some overworld exploration for a bit. You might end up finding something that will help you quite a bit.

Ahh, that's what I was wondering. The dev stated that if the dungeon can be entered, it can be completed, so I was thinking it should be relatively self-contained.

Back to the overworld, then!

You probably *could*, it'd just be a fair bit more challenging I believe. Also, to be fair, I don't even remember what was in the chests, so it could just be bonuses. If they are just bonuses, it doesn't sound like you have the dungeon item yet, so the way you would progress is at the very top right, up and to the right of the room you were talking about.

Have you gotten that dungeon's item reward yet? As someone else mentioned, there is an item somewhere outside of that dungeon that makes finding some otherwise tough to find spots easier to find. But not "required".

It is easy to buy cheat items sold in town. However, it will destroy the game balance.

I've given it a good try, but I really don't think I can get it without that external item people are mentioning. I think I might've used the key shard on the wrong door and locked myself until I can get an item to find another key shard.

Yesterday I was stuck in exactly the same way you were, Hex. I thought I was softlocked too. But there is indeed another key in one of those two chests behind the pipes, and you can get it right now, but getting that item from the overworld makes it easier to figure out how to get it.

Non-spoilery: There might be more that meets the eye!
Spoilery: There seem to be rooms behind each of the chests
Solution:The middle of the wall by each chest is breakable. There is an item in the center-east side of the map that may be useful!

Edit: Nevermind. There are definitely enough keys if you play normally, one's just a bit cute, and finding it answered my dungeon item question quite succinctly.

That said, for the dev:
I got to a state where I had the choice of using one key either on the door leading to the boomerang upgrade or to the boss. With screen transition manipulation, I had activated all other levers except the one in the room with the two chests - meaning I would have been able to lock myself out of the boomerang upgrade.

The bugfix to prevent this would just be to have screen transitions clear the boomerang. Right now, the boomerang keeps moving to you if you transition the screen, and its possible to activate switches with that even when you're clearly not supposed to (as you should use the boomerang upgrade). The boomerang can also bug out and teleport this way - I had it jump up or down a screen after transitioning m y screen with the boomerang active several times

The power plant doors really need to be more readable, was running around for like 10 minutes thinking I was missing something, scouring the map only to find I had indeed missed one door on a side wall
