I have a feeling that no amount of petitioning will work, because Sega likely had to include it just to secure the music licensing. Not to say that they begrudgingly put Denuvo in against their will, I'm sure they were all onboard, but any time you have to deal with music licensing, expect to get treated like a criminal right out of the gate and continue to get shafted at every opportunity thereafter.

The music industry was one of the pioneers of bad copyright protection. Remember that time Sony purposefully infected users PCs with rootkits that were designed to monitor how you use their music and prevent you from illegally distributing it?

If no one can crack denuvo in time, denuvo is useful and SEGA will keep using it. So it is useless to petition SEGA.

Useful how? Why do you think slowing down piracy will suddenly change how pirates consume content? People mainly turn towards illegitimate means because they don't have money to buy the game in the first place or because they object DRM, censorship and other anti-consumer practices. Most people play offline too and would be blocked by the recurrent online requirement.

Adding Denuvo does not fix the root cause of piracy, most companies know that but SEGA somehow didn't get the memo. Only paying customers are inconvenienced by the additional limits to how and when they can play their game.
