Uh, temporarily tethered to 5G, found a hotspot, used their cell data to post the thread, etc? There's plenty of ways. However, *staying* connected is clearly their problem.
In that case I don't see how Denuvo is a problem. It only requires a connection check every couple of weeks.
Steam requires the connection once per 2 weeks basically, Denuvo requires Always On.
Now THIS is a legitimate problem about Denuvo. Well, DRM in general. lol
Having a game depend on a server running who-knows-where to remain functional is a terrible idea overall.
That's fine. Personally it's not a big deal to me, but I will say you're missing out on a pretty good game.
Which is the Arcade Future Tone, it has even more songs than the DLC included of this game.
What the included DRM serves at this point in time may present otherwise paying users with an alternative option supposedly free from the addled official release (albeit including potential cyber and legal risks). At this oint in life I am doing fine and I only purchase things from legitimate sources, but it seems from reading comments online that the literal purpose of Denuvo has already succumbed to certain groups. Which begs the question why even include it at all at this point?
I don't have the metrics but corporate would have to do the math and realize DRM will have a point of diminishing returns and start actually hurting sales. Kind of unfortunate devs are caught in the crossfire of this all since I doubt the decision lies with them.
