I could help by offering some basic tips and strategies to get you started if your around the low to midish skill levels. Please send me a friend request if you want me to help guide you some as it would be a quite windy explanation of things that would look spammy on discussions.
You could also experiment and see if you do better with a keyboard or a different gamepad. I personally prefer joycons for Diva, but I know most players prefer the DS4 controller. Keyboard has the advantage of more key bindings than what's available on gamepad, but a gamepad is plenty viable for this game despite what people may try to tell you.
It really just comes down to practice. If you put the effort in and try to improve you will get better over time, it won't happen overnight but you'll get there. The most important thing is to keep at it and take breaks if you feel overwhelmed. Hisokeee also has some Diva tutorial videos on YouTube that you may find useful; I watched a few of them when I was starting out. Best of luck to you on your Diva journey!
seriously though, practice is a big part of it, and hand placement is a big part of getting good- personally, I play on keyboard, so my right hand )my dominant one, if yours is your left hand, then use your left hand for this) is on the "J", "K", and "L" keys for b,a. and x, the most common notes. If you want to use your left hand for the common ones, you'll need to put your fingers on the a, s, and d keys. For y and slider notes, i use q, w, and e, so that i won't have to switch my fingers every time i wanna hit a note.
There's also a practice mode which you can use to rewind a bit!!!
