Seeking Advice on Improving FPS

Hello friends! I recently purchased Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ because I am a huge fan of Hatsune Miku. However, I am facing a challenge due to my relatively weak computer, and currently, I don't have the financial means to upgrade to a better system. Therefore, I kindly request those who might be tempted to make jokes like "get a better computer" to refrain from such remarks. I would appreciate responses from those who genuinely have helpful suggestions.

My main concern is the low FPS in the game, and I'm reaching out to see if there are any ways to maximize the FPS without investing in new hardware. Perhaps there are mods available that can disable certain visual effects to boost performance, or maybe there's a configuration file that allows tweaking specific parameters.

For instance, within the game, there's the option to choose between MSAA and FXAA for anti-aliasing, but there's no way to turn it off entirely. I believe that even disabling FXAA could potentially lead to a significant increase in FPS. If anyone is aware of such mods or configuration adjustments, your guidance would be highly appreciated.

I understand that not everyone may have a solution to offer, and if you don't, I kindly ask you to pass by this post. I'm specifically looking for input from those who can provide valuable advice on optimizing the game performance under the given circumstances.

Right now I have 30FPS in the game, sometimes drops to 20.

Thank you so much for the advice! Installing the mod to remove depth of field really made a noticeable difference in my FPS. I appreciate your help! PotatoMM - Just a dll way of removing DoF , so that would be better than older DoF remover mods since it will work on all of the songs that use them.

And if your PC struggles even on songs like ROKI then there is 720p movies mod that should make 2d MV's easier to run. aaaand sadly that is it... the only things you could do after installing those 2 mods is to make sure everything in settings is the lowest it can be.


If you are really desperate when you install Eden Project in it's config there is an option to completly disable 3D elements, based on that you would know what's the max fps you are going to get from your pc.

PotatoMM made no difference in graphics for me. Dunno if its because i already have a mod that removes DOF or… I was hoping it would remove shadows because i don’t want them and maybe to gain just a few more frames out of it

Anyway I installed both of these mods. If you find the way to disable shadows, please let me know! Would be great

You're wrong, that's not it. I can think of several more tweaks that haven't been brought up in this thread yet.

you should be able too get a cheap gtx 1060 for like 50 dollars now days if you can find a 2060 should be fine
that or drop the resoultion too as low as possible.. just it may look like total trash

why not sell your CS2 items, since you can't even play the game with your current configuration? it would be a good way to earn money for a better computer.
