Xbox One Controller configuration help
For some reason the game absolutely hates my controller and I have no idea how to configure it correctly. Only the DPad works, they all register as a button but they're completely backwards. The A and B buttons are bumpers, X is select and Y is start. I've checked the controller config option through Steam and it seems to be correct but how do I even fix this?? It's like the game completely ignores my controller layout. I loved f2nd on the PS3 and this is the first Miku game I've played since then and so far I'm really disappointed in how non user friendly this version is.

in the customizations you can remap the buttons, but i dont know if that'll help your face buttons. what i think is happening is that your face buttons aren't mapped to anything, which is why they aren't registering. hope this helps!

Just to be sure; is this the official Microsoft Xbox One controller you're using? Others have had strange results when using third party controllers, even if consoles recognize them correctly.

Yeah, I went to the in-game option to see what buttons were being registered and that's how I found out just how messed up it is. It's not that it isn't mapped to anything, but rather that the controller buttons' inputs are being registered incorrectly. I tried restarting the game and using another controller and it turned out working perfectly rather than one face button being mapped to a slider, so it must be the controller. It's super weird since it works fine with any other controller compatible game on Steam!

It's official, and specifically the Night Ops one. Oddly enough, the game registers another one of my controllers just fine, so I've been using that one instead. If I have some free time I'll try looking into the problem again and try coming up with a solution if another unfortunate soul comes across the same issue.
hey mate I know this is kinda old but I had the same issue with skyrim. all I had to do was disable the steam controller input and instead let the game do everything for it! give that setting a look, perhaps it's working with steam as the middleman which causes some confusion in a few games.

just in case I use the XB Series X remote, original one.
