Why is everyone so hyped about this?
Megamix+ is yet another re-release of the same game (future tone), has nothing new compared to the ps4 version, has a drm and costs a lot. It's just another cashgrab from sega. It's like fifa, they release the same game every year and people purchase it like crazy.

And project divas for pc already exist, like pdpc, ppd and aft.

Conclusion edit: People are hyped about this re-release of the same game because it's an official pd for pc and nothing else. Noone cares about what has been taken away from us - interactions with vocaloids / diva rooms, edit mode and more. Some have a valid excuse/point, and those are the players who purchased it because they don't own neither a ps4 nor a switch. The rest of you, who purchased this while they own this game on another platform (specially ps4), shame on you all.

Real, legitimate Future Tone on PC is exactly what I've wanted for years.

Future Tone with all DLC is about $100. Megamix (for Switch) with all DLC is about $120 (and has significantly less content than FT's base game). Why are you complaining about Megamix+ being $60 for the same content as $100 worth of FT? Complain about Megamix for Switch's price all you want, but Megamix+ on Steam is the best deal in the series.

Yes, AFT is on PC already and you can mod Megamix songs in, but that has various issues that Megamix+ doesn't. Notably, MM+ runs perfectly on Linux (AFT has notable issues, such as all videos completely failing to play) as well as AMD and Intel GPU support (in AFT AMD has weird performance issues and Intel will not render 3D graphics and requires patching to render 2D graphics). If you want a flawless Diva experience on, say, a Steam Deck, you just can't get it from AFT.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

This is the first time this series has released on PC. If you're that upset about it why did you get the game yourself? lmao

I'm just happy I don't have to dig the PS3 out anymore.
Op is pretty on point. Seems like most of you didn't even read his post. Project Diva has had multiple features stripped away since PS3 releases. Using your own tracks to create music videos, diva rooms and interactions, etc.

I don't have a console so I feel fine buying it, but you gotta have blinders on if you think buying the same game over and over again will lead to innovation. Sure it shows support for the franchise, but it's a franchise that hasn't developed in half a decade.

Everyone knows it's the same game on PC and that's why they're buying it. Also compared to switch, this is a flatly better version assuming you don't have compatibility issues (a major caveat that does need to be addressed where it exists) and can do minimal troubleshooting (can you google pcgamingwiki? can you check the steam forum? good luck playing more than a couple japanese pc games without doing this sometimes), at a more reasonable price.

Diva rooms are cool and they probably should add stuff like that back in now that Arcade has become the primary home console miku experience. But you're kidding yourself if you think it's a major factor for just about anyone purchasing these games.

Yeah, that's why I stopped replying to others in this thread. I'm glad that someone other than me sees it.

Half a decade? Isn't it 8 years? When was pd x released?

not seeing how they "stripped away" multiple features if edit mode and diva room were never in arcade to begin with. this is a port

Never heard of the PS4 nor Switch version, got PDF/2/X on PSVita and I'm glad I can finally play on a big screen (TV on PC)
Almost all titles from previous games are in the same place (plus a lot I never played)
Gameplay is a bit different from what I'm used to = new challenge
I can continue but it seams you're here just to troll, no matter the answers you got.

You gotta love it when people reply to your thread without even reading it.

I ain't sure about this "we're getting" thing. I don't have PS4 or Switch so this one is a new for me.
Only played PSP and PSVita ones before.

I have no console, I hate emulating, so this is the only game, and having 250 songs with tons of classic Vocaloid songs is phenomenal.

If you've played stuff like Future Tone, sure, it's redundant, but I haven't, so it isnt.
