Does it support the Pega mini controller?
Controller in question. [i.ebayimg.com]

UPDATE 6/3/2022:
This game has driven me to learn how to solder. Going to be replacing the switches on my Pega mini with Cherry MX Red's. If this goes according to plan, I'll post results here and help anyone who wants to improve their controller. For the record I've never done something like this before.

I'm going to take the dive anyway. Worst that can happen is I refund if it doesn't work.

i would assume it does? i think the ipega mini controllers register as regular ds4/ns pro controllers on their respective systems, BetterJoy and DS4Windows should make both register as XInput controllers if plugging them in normally won't work.

I have the switch version of the controller and I can't get that to work. Though I'm trying to get it to work on my steam deck and not a Windows PC. I read a post on project diva subreddit that the PS4 version should work on Windows with some tweaking to xinput. The manufacturer has firmware available online to flash between ps4 and switch version. May try flashing controller to ps4 version to see if I can get it to work on deck

also i think steam has built in ds4/nsw support? could be wrong tho but i think it might help with the case

Okay, so I took the dive. IT DOES BUT... You have to do a bunch of fiddling around with button config on the Steam side of things. Approx 40-ish minutes of troubleshooting just now on my end and it's performing great.

Was it the ps4 version you got to work? What kind of fiddling did you have to do on steam? I have the switch version which I couldn't get to work. Will try reflashing it to the ps4 version tonight to see if I can get it to work.

success! i got the controller to work on my steam deck. once i reflash the controller to the ps4 firmware, the controller was detected on the deck. I had to adjust the controller settings on steam so it detected the controller as a ps4. it initially detected it as a xbox controller. there was also some button remapping to get all the buttons working. i also had some sensitivity issue with the touch slider, but i seem to have fix it when i remapped the right analog stick. wasn't mapped right when you first plug it in.

one issue i can't figure out yet is with the controller audio. the deck always defaults to the controller audio jack when i plug the controller in, even if there's no headphone inserted. i need to manual change the audio back to the deck speakers each time.

only downside to this is that the controller is now flashed as a ps4 controller, so i can't use it on my switch unless i reflash the firmware back. reflashing is quick and easy so may not be too much of an issue, maybe i can eventually figure out a way to get it to just work on switch firmware.

Glad you got it to work! I'm using the PS4 version, and only had to really adjust the controller profile via the Steam settings menu.

I have the PS4 version of the Ipega Project Diva controller, and it works, but not out of the box. When connecting the device the sound would go away and the buttons would be incorrect in the game.

- To fix the sound I went to sound settings by right clicking the speaker in the taskbar (Windows 11). Then look for the audio devices that the controller added (microphone and headset for PS4) and click on the arrow to the right and select Don't Allow so apps won't use it for sound anymore.

- To fix the controls I went to Big Picture mode first and went to the controller settings and there I had to remap the controller there. After that the controls worked fine. I always have the slider on the controller on the Arcade setting and I tested it with the song Remote Controller on hard to make sure that the slider worked with 2 fingers as well.

If you are planning on buying this controller, I must say it is a lot of fun and it is the cheapest one, but there are some quality issues. My controller had one button that would get stuck and I had to open it up to get rid of some plastic to make it jump back up all the time. Too bad that the Hori controllers with the slider are way too overpriced and in that case you might as well order the Divaller.

I didn't notice any audio issue until today when I played the game some more with the controller, since I only got the controller working yesterday. The audio would sync fine with the video and notes when the song started, but would eventually desync towards the 2nd half of the song. I did a bit of troubleshooting and I got the desync resolved by disabling the audio output for the controller, similar to what you did. I'm still not sure why the audio output on the controller was causing issues, since I wasn't even using it as the audio source. Either way, I think I finally got everything sorted out with this controller... hopefully.

Where did you find the firmware!?!

I also have a switch version and just found out last night that it’s not working.

I tried google the firmware and found nothing.
Could you please direct me to where you download the firmware?

Here's the link for the firmware. the branding for the controller changed from ipega to pega games. FIrmware is at their product website.

Thanks!
I’m at work so I can’t try it right now.
But once I’m home, I’ll report back to you.

Wish I had money to buy a DIVALLER, now it’s out of stock.:lunar2019laughingpig:

Edit**

It's working!! Thanks again!
Even touch slider is working perfectly without doing anything.

Only problem is the confirmation button is now X instead of O,
and I can't find a way to change it.
Beside that, the game is working fine.

X being confirm is correct in this situation. It might seem weird coming from Switch or Japanese region version of any game, but West and a lot of PC games will almost always have X or A as confirm.
