A note about graphical issues related to Mega Mix Shader

This is exactly my problem as well with recommended AMD drivers. The latest driver that didn't had this issue is 22.5.1, but I do need the newer driver for better performance on other games. I'm using a RX6750XT. So at this moment I just feel I got the middle finger from both Sega and AMD.

I'm having the same issue with my new computer with amd graphics card. downloaded the game and have the same graphical issues. Latest amd driver installed.

Thank you so much! That fixed it for me. Still mad at Sega for not fixing it for us or at least try to work together with AMD for a solution.

It's more of a screw up on AMD's part tbh. The game used to work flawlessly until a driver update broke it and they never bothered to fix it. But Sega sure as heck didn't bother helping either considering how old the problem is. Anyway, I'm glad the fix worked out for you too.

Sega should invest more money on fixing bugs instead of renewing the Denuvo licence.

The issue might be that this game wasn't cracked? If denuvo's working they'll probably stick to it, cursing us to stuttery performance.

Maybe, but this game is a port of arcade future tone wich is playable on PC since many years ago, and switch version can be emulated too. Denuvo is just punishing legal customers just because Sega executives are paranoid.

What a mess. If the company gave a damn about fixing bugs and stuttery performance that would be one thing, but as it stands it's just a sad state of affairs.

Well good (but a little late) news, AMD acknowledged the issue in their driver notes for 23.7.1, so a possible fix may be coming.

I dont know if its sega fault or AMD fault, but SEGA!! are we AMD users a joke for you? I mean, how hard could be to you implement a native graphic motor switch in the settings menu to switch from DX to OpenGL?

We are in the hands of a third-party workaround, Wine3d, that we do not know if it will continue updating, because at least for me in the latest AMD driver 23.7.1 it does not work for me and the game doesnt start. And now im stuck in 23.5.2 driver because if not i cant play the game.

MORE THAN 1 YEAR LATER AND STILL IS NOT FIXED!!! Lucky for us looks like AMD noticed it, shame on you SEGA.

Game had issues before that update.

Actually, PS4 future tone is a port of arcade future tone, switch megamix is a port of PS4 future tone with a new shader and PC megamix plus is a port of switch megamix, you can even mod switch megamix to have future tone shader just like the PC version. It´s the same game.

Actually, PS4 future tone is a port of arcade future tone, switch megamix is a port of PS4 future tone with a new shader and PC megamix plus is a port of switch megamix, you can even mod switch megamix to have future tone shader just like the PC version. It´s the same game.

1. You are correct, PS4 future tone is a port of Arcade Future Tone, however it's vastly different from it's arcade counterpart so technically it's a different game.

2. Switch MegaMix is not a port of PS4 Future Tone. Songs that were timed exclusive until they were added as dlc for future tone. Also it's not a different shader, the character models and stage design are new. If it were a simple shader they would have just ported Future Tone assets which they didn't because the assets in Mega Mix are made from scratch to work for the switch. Additionally the gameplay is different from future tone, not fully different but different nonetheless.

3. Yes the PC mega mix+ is a port of Switch Mega Mix, however just because you can mod the switch version to be just like the PC doesn't mean it's the same game, a port is never considered the same exact game it's ported from. Not unless it's features and mechanics and it's functionality are the exact same to a T. Which these games are not.
