Stuck on loading screen

I was able to start the game once and ever since, I get stuck on the loading screen. It looks like the dots on loading are flickering. Also when I click play in the Steam library, it looks like there is a pop up window that tries to load but then it goes right to the loading screen. Has anyone else encountered this/know how to fix?

Hello, is this Steamdeck, Linux, or Windows?

If the loading screen is stuck this is usually because of the save file cannot be read, like a disk lock or something. Never had this report before but tonight an other player reported this to me on the Steamdeck, so if you could confrm the platform it would be helpful!

Also you can try to uninstal/reinstal the game, hopefully it's fixing it.

I will check tomorrow if there is a native binary that changed in the dependencies, maybe this is the reason of this new bug.

It is on windows! I tried uninstalling and installing a couple of times with no luck. I have not actually had a chance to save or anything yet so would I have a save file?

Oh ok so fresh install on Windows, that is a new one.

Sorry for the time of answering, I am based in France so timezone issue.

In the meantime, could I know your OS (win 10 pro N for example, yes the complete name can help because it could be some missing DLL ?).

Also could you try to run the game as administrator please?
You go in the installation folder from Steam, and right click on "Noreya The Gold Project.exe" (maybe you don't see the .exe if you have the default settings to hide the files extension) and chose "Run as administrator".

To me it looks like the save try to write the file but cannot.

I try to see what could cause this, or if I can add a popup error message, and will get back to you ASAP.

Ok found the issue I think thanks to an other player who was running the same on Steamdeck and was up for live-debug ahah.

So it was quite stupid, looks like your PC was loading a file to fast and the loader of the engine was not ready for that XD

Version 1.3.35 should fix it !

After more investigation it seems that this error can be caused at installation level and it's not a "game issue".
The solution is to completely reinstall the game, but to do so on windows you must go in C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming and delete the entire folder noreya-the-gold-project

PS "YOUR_USER" must be replace by your username on windows.

Then reinstall the game on steam.
