Controller Support Is Broken

Hi, this game's controller support is broken. No matter what I do, I can't get my xbox controller to work with Bandle Tale, yet it works fine on every other game. Very upsetting. My steam deck's controls works fine but somehow not my desktop PC.

I was having this exact same problem with my ps4 controlled connected to my pc via the wireless ps4 dongle. What worked for me was to disconnect all of other game controller devices connected to my pc. At the time I had just the ps4 dongle and a 3dconnexion mouse connected. For whatever reason my pc sees my 3dconnexion mouse as a game controller. Once I disconnected the 3dconnexion mouse so that only my ps4 dongle was connected my wireless ps4 was recognized by the game.
