Magic Rubber Band bug

When I use Magic Rubber Bands for collecting clay it says I get back 1+ magic rubber band after collecting the clay. But it doesn't actually give it back to me. So I don't know if it's meant to or if the bug is the fact that it's telling me I get it back when it shouldn't say that? I dunno. I'm confused.

You get 5 clay and 1 rubber band that lost its magic. You need to imbue new magic into rubber bands after using them for machines.
