New Teaser!

Looks really good.

Очень густая и жуткая атмосфера, на мой взгляд.

Yeah this one actually catches the atmosphere of what a finished ILL game could look/sound like. The previous video felt like for another game completely, compared to the amazing prerendered demos we got ages ago.

Let's hope this game will be true some time. Could be the most creepy title we have played.

Still the same fake trash.

The seething... if you're uninterested just go elsewhere, honestly. who forces you people to whine about the game you don't even care about.
It'll release, probably in same shape as Scorn did (more as proof of concept rather than game) because devs will get burned out at some point but it'll be released, just prepare for another walking simulator with barebone mechanics and cool visuals.

They're not seething or whining, they're just stating the 'game' is actually just animated renders, which is why it's a lie. It's good that some people point this out, because there are individuals who cannot tell the difference between real gameplay and a 3D render engineered to look like gameplay. You can visit their Patreon to read a lot of their posts where each update became a cycle of, "Here's some pictures", "We ran into an issue", and "Things are back on track".

There will be no game, and no one will get burned out as long as easy money keeps pouring in. Defending these people and attacking others bringing light to this is even more suspicious than their Patreon funded 'game'

This 'new' trailer shows 99% of old stuff. Everything 'new' you get here is a dude standing in a corridor for 40 seconds. As of now everything looks like an obvious scam.

It is seething and whining, scorn exists and it was far longer in development with even less informations coming out about its production (and you people called it a scam back then too), try to deny that, anyway, devs can share whatever they like if they chose rendered videos, well that is their marketing strategy. Don't like it? Bad for you I guess, maybe you should move on if you don't like it so much, shouldn't you?
Another thing is that people are free to do with their money whatever they like, if they want to burn it, let them burn it. Who gave you rights to decide for them?

The future is uncertain, devs might die of old age before they release it or maybe they'll give us another scorn (simply a bad game) or maybe it'll be good, time will show.
VEEJ Dec 27, 2024 @ 2:39pm
The problem is that their videos are being made to present themselves as if it's actual gameplay -- the worst offender was the one with the crosshair overlay. They can market however they want, but why deceive people? It's almost as if there's a reason they do it...

I just looked up some old videos of Scorn and that game had actual in-game footage, whereas ILL has been all animations
VanDass Dec 27, 2024 @ 9:39pm
Again, that is their choice, they've been doing it for years and people are still willing to give them money so... where is the problem? They might aswell start showing off gameplay footage in 2 years and release it in 4 years (still faster than Scorn). Dude, you don't even know on what stage of development the game is, you just assume that its a scam and there is no game cause *lOoK at tHeSE vIDeOS*... yeah even Verehin under *hall trailer* stated that it's rendered in UE concept trailer so... I still can't see your point mate, where is the deceive part. Are they lying to their patrons? Well, I don't know/don't care what they do behind the paywall cause, personally, I find giving money to devs (monthly) possibly the worst way to fund the project, as devs will do anything to stretch their production in time.
Once again, it just reminds me of Scorn situation where people present in this topic screeched that Scorn will never happen and pre alpha footage was made only to steal kickstarter money but oh well now when you saw that footage (in 2024 with game out), scorn was totally real game! Roflmao.

As you stated earlier, people can do what they want; I believe the game is a scam, you don't. Fine. Thirty years can go by, and as long as the Patreon is active and they're still making posts, neither of us can be right or wrong. Who knows, maybe ten years from now we can get a teaser of the inventory, which may also be a rendered video ‐‐ but that will be fine, because that's their marketing strategy
VanDass Dec 28, 2024 @ 4:57am
Who got scammed? The people who are giving them money WILLINGLY and can stop giving them money at any given point? Volenti non fit iniuria but on the other hand only these people should be able to express their concerns (if they have some) about state of the game. When it comes to you or me or just people who did not give them a single penny, developers do not own us anything cause why would they? Be happy to see their concept art, if the they release game in 10 years and it'll be good, I'll buy it, if the world ends before they succeed, well, I didn't invest anything in their company so, whatever but what if they release it in 2025? They could do it, cause why not? I don't know how far are they into development nor do you.
Time will tell but so far, in my opinion, its just one of these indie games where devs decided to go radio silent about their progression and I do respect that.

Funnily enough people mention the day before as scam but at the end not even a single customer got scammed by fntastic, they had no patreon, no kickstarter and all legally bought copies were refunded. The Singapure government, banks and Mytona were to blame for this fiasco or rather their lack of control.

:steamfacepalm: Lul, that fact that people got refunds doesn't mean that it wasn't a scam. Failed scam is still a scam. You know, just like a failed robbery is still a robbery. If a dude fails to rob the bank and run away with a bag full of cash, and gets shot instead, well, he doesn't stop being a robber.
