How will the game play out?

My meaning in this question is: Are there just a set number of missions you go through then the game gets to the end? Or is it open worlds/systems where you can go where ever, do jobs, get paid, and so fourth?

Also will there be multiple types of ships? Different factions? Can we choose to be pirates? Bounty hunters? Scavengers?

The game will be mission based (i.e. not open world), starting from your hangar where you select from available missions on a galaxy map.

There will be multiple ships and mission types. Cant go in too deep on the other things :)
