The voicing AI tech is way better nowadays compared to Microsoft Sam for example.
Our company uses transcription and voice AI and we made a survey with about 1.5 million participants on it if people are able to tell the difference and oh wonder the result was that the average of identified AI voices was 50%
So yeah I am for the usage of AI voiceover if real actors are not affordable. Especially because tech gets better and better every year - nay month!
Stealing assets and code can also be helpful when you don't have a lot of money to develop something that doesn't make it right and not lazy.
The problem with AI isn't the automation and convenience. Which is why Steam destroyed retail.
It's the fact that it's outright stealing stuff from people that didn't give their explicit permission nor were they properly compensated for being used to make the algorythm that is making them rich.
Steam at least pays the devs in their storefront. Can't say the same about AI that trained with random people and actor's data.
ALSO, ai isnt too bad, just deal with it, its not your game
