Something to revive this game

Is there anything planned to revive this game? It's definitely had a good run (I remember playing this 15 years ago) and I feel grateful it's still somewhat alive. It'd be a shame if it died completely. I've played the last 2 weekends and I've had a lot of fun and it's made me laugh unlike no other multiplayer game. Graphic and sound design is on point, gameplay is addictive and it's just hilarious overall.

Maybe some sort of big update and some marketing tactics through social media could help? How do we give this game more exposure?

Doing something about the cancerous fastpath server would be a good place to start, which I've been screaming from the roof tops for over 3 years now.

it is planned. you can visit games's discord channel and ask around there. all i can say is that it will be a hit or miss in terms of gaining new players, but the comming alt weapons (like in tf2) will be huge! But first there will be last character release for pirates.

Either way, people that played before will comeback to play new stuff.

Agreed. I don't see the point in tricking players like that anyhow. Who benefits?

Start upload videos about this game on Youtube. (like funny moments or just gameplay) This can help promote the game to people.

remove special attacks so the average gamer can actually compete in the game

it will also have the added advantage of nerfing all those sweaty players who just farm specials on bots and then use them to win fights they would otherwise be unable to win

Specials don't feel THAT relevant, to be honest. The true skill gap is being able to prance and jump around like a maniac to avoid attacks while still being accurate when delivering your own.
