Adapt. Jump as well as it is part of the game mechanics.
We end up attacking out of frustration and we end up just slashing with no self-preservation. "It's become who can time the hits best" rather than "Who can parry at the right time in a fight that might end their life"
Still don't know which direction parries which, it's never consistent. I've been able to parry attacks from the left and the right with the same parry direction...
Cmon
It is not impossible for a HK to beat a Skirmisher as again, if they are spamming the M1 you can do multiple things:
1) Parry, most likely if they are doing the same swing or if you time it right and they aren't high pingers, yes, this can be done, as I have done it thousands of times
2) Trade hits, the Skirmisher will fall very quickly and cannot trade his scratch vs the colossal fully charged swings of yours
3) Strafe + jump + charge swing, telegraphing M1 users don't aim their swings generally so it isn't that difficult to avoid
4) Shield, this is an easy solution if the enemy is high ping + you are lower hp than he is. Because he is telegraphing his swings and not charging them he will not harm you as he hits the shield and you shield bash + swing between his swings
This sounds more like a personal issue I suggest you continue to play until you are able to get more experience to be able to handle these people better. The same with how people complained about Pyros in TF2 that just W+M1, they are easily countered by people who've got their feet wet in the game and know the counters better.
