why? There's tons of fun games on mac...the only problem is...the price :/
Specs:
2,7 GHz Intel Core i5(processor)
8 Go 1600 MHz DDR3 (RAM)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 Mo (graphic card)
Not a good computer, but a few moth ago the game worked perfectly.
Thank you.
Also, what type of crash are you experiencing? Is the game crashing as soon as you start it?
Well, when I get into a game, the game crashes, when I join a team the class selection screen appears. I was getting a message, something like 'max memory reached'... I'll redownload the game to tell you that message.
Thx for your help :)
First though, you should run OS X's Activity Monitor. It should be somewhere under the Applications directory on the Dock. It might be in a subfolder called Tools or something, I forget. Then go to the memory tab. You should see something like this:
https://support.apple.com/library/content/dam/edam/applecare/images/en_US/osx/yosemite-activity_monitor-memory.png
If your "Memory Used" is very close to the amount shown next to "Physical Memory", then that would explain an error like that. In which case, the simplest thing to do would be to close out of programs that are using a lot of memory that you don't need.
If the error message you're referring to is in fact something different, please let me know.
Engine error
failed to lock vertex buffer in
CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer: nVertexCount=82, nFirstVertex=4029
Technically based on that error, that isn't a problem with PVKII, but the core Source Engine which we have no control over, and there was an update to it a few months ago due to an exploit.
However, you can try verifying your game cache, or you can try launching PVKII with the launch option -nod3d9ex. To do that, right click on "Pirates, Vikings, & Knights II" in your Steam library and click "Properties." Then click on the button "Set Launch Options" and paste "-nod3d9ex" there without the quotes.
If that doesn't work, let me know.
I give up, thank you very much for your help, I appreciate it. ;)
