Good puzzle game i really love it, Try this games first before buying Time on Frog Island.

Overall this is a really well done prologue it can be a bit hindering to figure things out since there's no dialogue or even text, but it feels rewarding when you do get things. There's also quite a few mechanics that aren't explained and the player has to figure that out as well which can really hamper game play plus the perspective of the camera can be challenging. The sound is really quiet as well even at full volume in game. Once you start solving the islands puzzles though and figure out how to fully play the game it's a breeze and the story is really cute there's tons of hidden things in the game that you can access I'm honestly stoked for the full release and will definitely be wishlisting.

A fun little bite sized Frog Island adventure!

About 1 hour to 100% it, it was pretty fun besides throwing that dang sunflower over to the top of the mountain.

Mechanics really prevent for me enjoying this game which is disappointing.

Trying to go up the hill to collect the asteroid. Jumping ledges is very hit and miss, sometimes It's as if I can barely jump, other times it feels i'm jumping too far. Essentially constantly falling down, going all the way around just to try get back up again. Eventually collected the asteroid, only to not be able to get it down without breaking because of the jump mechanics.

Had to restart because I fell onto a thorn bush, character got stuck between bush and a ledge and I couldn't move. Lost any progress I had made.

What a fantastic prologue! This game looks absolutely wonderful, it literally is one of those games that makes you appreciate the whole art and dedication that goes into the craft. Controls are excellent, physics are intuitive, and the cute story is really the cherry on top!

Kudos devs, I am looking forward to the full release!

This is a really cute and beautiful puzzle adventure game. It is a short story, but for a free to play it is really good. It also has achievements that count towards your profile

This isn't a complete condemnation.....there are some good, enjoyable elements in there......but the core movement is so intensely unfun and frustrating (and there are times when you'll need some decent platforming control of your character) that it makes completing this prologue a complete chore. I sure hope the main game isn't as brutal in the movement/control department....

*Positives*

-Graphics- Nothing special in a (by now) typical low poly way, but they do the trick and they won't make your eyes bleed. You'll always know what you're looking at.

-Gameplay- The core of the gameplay loop (meet a character or two, interact with them, and do some minor fetch quests on their behalf) is enjoyable enough.....if it weren't for the movement (see below)

*Meh*

-Music/Sound design- Nothing special; won't give you ear herpes, but you're not going to love or indeed even "like" the music and sound effects (the "voices" are particularly grating after awhile).

*Negative*

-Controls/Movement- With a keyboard and mouse, the protagonist moves like a one-legged drunkard suffering from some form of well-nigh crippling central nervous system disorder. And just bloody imagine trying to get diagonal movement and careful jumping correct in an isometric map view with nothing but the arrow keys. It's truly godawful, and in order to proceed, you will have to leap from platform to platform, not to mention hurl objects in correct directions with said godawful controls. The very antithesis of fun and enjoyment.

At it's heart it's not a "bad" game, but when you're not having fun, and are in fact actively frustrated because the protagonist won't go the direction you want him to go in due to insufferable keyboard and mouse controls, then I certainly can't recommend a game. Maybe it's better with a controller, I don't know. I just know that if you use KB+M, prepare to be infuriated. About as much fun as a prostate exam given by someone with fingers like german sausages studded with gaudy rings.

Totally not recommended.

First achievement unlock: Probably getting stung by thorns, jumping 100 times or Speaking to the only NPC.

Basically the achievements are simple and no red flags for this extended demo. Quick unlocks and it actually made me consider the full game.

And since the prologue is free, you have nothing to lose.

Ok, i actually liked this! Definitely forgot to initiate my big brain and the odd issue with directions. But apart from that, i really enjoyed it.
Great Work.

Fantastic little game, can't wait until the full release!

Really clever use of very basic functions, controls well, great aesthetic and of course, FROGS and AXOLOTLS.
