Account progress deleted???

So I log in after skipping few months and I start from scratch?!? All my progress, researched ships, friend list is gone! Everything. If this is some kind of policy for logging in constantly you and your stupid game can go to hell, really!!!

most likely your base was wiped out. The whales get to farm people's bases and it wipes all your stuff. Then you start from scratch. I had this happen to mine as well. Hope that helps.

Most likely NOT. A was not in a star system actively playing after the end of the season. My progress along with researched ships and everything else is gone. My friends list. This has nothing to do with my base alone.

Its a feature of the game. Every time you deploy is a Season. At the end of every season, you go to the Hub System, where you can sign up for new Seasons/deployments. Fortunately, you keep certain items, like researched ship files, Tech points, research points, proxima, etc. I believe it shows you that somewhere in the research screen.
Yes, this happens. Yes, this is normal. Yes, they should tell you this when you start.

Interesting. I played at least two full seasons and kept my researched ships between seasons. Interestingly enough I have another account not paired with Steam on my Android phone where everything is kept regardless of that when I stopped playing. It seems to me that they did something for the Steam accounts at some point (or they don't care at all). It's a shame though because even smaller companies do better job sometimes :(. At this point I am glad that I am not a paying player and my money didn't go to waste but its a little sad.

After seeing your pinned note, perhaps you missed the part with loosing my ENTIRE research tree of ships? No, it was not normal two seasons ago when all my tech tree was kept between seasons. I know how the game works (at least I believe I do). That's what I am complaining about. I keep insisting that they did something to the Steam accounts - either just #$@ them up or just clearing a bunch of inactive ones. Either way it IS disappointing from player's perspective. This is definitely not an incentive for returning players. I am not here to bash the team about it (although I am obviously $@%hurt :D ), I would assume that they had their reasons as such a move is bad for them either.

Seems like your account didn't get bound to Steam and you also didn't double check, whether it is. At some point, the guest account progress was lost.
