Suddenly can't play anything?
I booted up the game, I see the "creating new save" appear which leads me to believe my old save got corrupted which sucks but its no big deal, I go past all the menus, pick a cabinet, and none of them load?

I can hear the intro of a game playing in the background, but cabinet is pitch black, auto save icon keeps appearing and disappearing in the corner, and not a single button I press works so I have to forcefully turn it off. I tried disabling Steam Cloud, reinstalling and verifying, but nothing seems to work. I've no idea what to do, can anyone help?

EDIT: Checked 1st Stadium, that one works properly at least.

EDIT 2: Next day, it works fine, but all my scores and progress have been lost for good. Rip.

EDIT 3: What the hell, it happened again after I booted it up the same day it worked!?

Weird. Maybe I should backup my save if possible.

It's happened to me too just now. I lost all my progress. It wants to create a new file and when i go to play a game. I can't it's :GlorkConcerned:blank and the circle save just stays there and does nothing

Try restarting your PC, if it boots up just pray steam cloud didn't overwrite your old save with a new one.

Thanks, I did lose all my progress. But at least the games work now. :pint:

Every time I quit the game. The Steam cloud doesn't sync. It's Weird. I'm worried I will lose all the progress again. I think a back-up is needed.

One time I had the game crash on me, so some Capcom's "crash software" popped up and picked some info. I sent it to Capcom support asking for help, but by the time they responded my issue magically fixed itself out of nowhere, so now I'm backing up my save every single time I quit.

P.S. This is the reply I got, perhaps if you intend to send a mail you can see what you need in advance:

"Hi,

Thank you for contacting Capcom EU Technical Support.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble launching the game.

Please send us the following files from your PC (no personal information will be recorded - just details of your software/hardware environment and Windows Errors if any are recorded):

DXDIAG:

1. Click the Windows Key and 'R' on your keyboard at the same time. Type in DXDIAG, then click the OK button.
2. When asked where to save the file, click on the drop-down box next to Save in and select Desktop.
3. In the File Name box towards the bottom, the name DxDiag.txt should appear. Leave this as-is and click on the OK button.
4. Click the Exit button to exit the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
5. On the Desktop, there should be a file name DxDiag or DxDiag.txt. If there is no file with this name, please repeat the steps above and make sure to save the file to the Desktop.

MSINFO:

1. Click the Windows Key and 'R' on your keyboard at the same time. Type msinfo32 and run.
2. Once system information has loaded click on File > Save and save the file onto your desktop and name it as your ticket number
3. Attach these files to your reply email.

lol I was having this same issue after I started up the game for the first time tonight and this fixed it. Weird and thank you. Tried just about everything except that lol.

Lost all my data when logging in this morning as well. I managed to get my recorded in-game saves back by renaming the contents of the folder (<Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\1755910\), so maybe the game renames things when this bug occurs? Changing win64_save/data105Slot.bin to be just data105Slot.bin makes it accessible again in the game for example.

What it doesn't do is bring back any of my Caspo points, total time played etc so all achievement progress has been completely reset. Quite annoying, I think I'll no longer allow cloud data for this game and manually back up my saves each session instead in hopes I can recover it if it happens again.
