If you prefer the immersion of feeling like you're at the arcade, go with 3D.
If you go with a 3D cabinet, I'd recommend Display Filter E as it warps the screen to make it look like the cabinet is more 3D.
Other than that I don't really like the filters.
I think the 3D cab borders look neat, but best if you have a large screen monitor, because those cab borders really shrink the heck out of the game image. So for now, i use flat 2D style with no borders at all. (I find the bright colored borders distracting. I wish there was an opacity option).
