I was expecting a Little big workshop 2. what I got was a incomplete version of little big workshop without a bunch of improvements. Gameplay feels very slow and leaves you with absolutely nothing to do at all for periods. you're limited to building rooms in pre built houses and not allowed to join the rooms with a door but have to put a main door which really slows down efficiency. The planning mode will not allow you to build from the planning screen if you do not have the machines already built for that project, you have close out of planning, remember all the machines you need, build them, then go back to planning. There is a lot of quality of life things similar in nature that just little big workshop so much better and not even comparable. This is a great concept which needs a lot of improvements which i hope happen soon. I will update if there is a update soon and I dont just forget about this game I will update the review

Inspired by Little Big Workshop? Blatant rip off that doesn't play anything like as well.

A game for fans of simulators with resource management. This is a business development game in which you will produce toys using robots and try to make a profit. Having dealt with the gameplay, the game will turn out to be an exciting and fun pastime. But, as it seems to me, this genre of the game will not go to every player.Also, I just have to tell you about the excellent graphics and good implementation of a unique idea into a really good game. I can see that the game is really being worked on and there are ongoing updates with improvements and bug fixes, which were not so many even on the first day of release. P.SThe only question is why did I buy the game and play it, but it hasn't been added to the list of games in my library? Also, will there be collectible cards added to the game so I can craft a badge ?

You can really tell when a developer doesn't listen to the community. The lack of quality of life features is palpable. Re arranging anything in your factory is a nightmare. Frustrating mechanics all around.

This is a slower clunkier less fun copy of Little Big Workshop.
I put lots of time in to that game but not this one.

If you play this before LBW go ahead and play it, Its well worth the price then and its probably not going to be that bad for you. After you are done with this one do yourself a favor and then get LBW.

I don't feel great saying that this game isn't worth a buy, but I played the game for 2.8 hours, and I more or less mastered it. For games like this, that is a VERY bad thing. I had over 3/4 of the 50 something achievements unlocked, a steady income and while I could have expanded to other buildings and had more production going to make more money, it was an easier income stream (and higher) by keeping it to 1 or 2 buildings. I had the game blasting on full speed most of the time and by the end of my time playing, I was having a very rough time gaining and experience off jobs, which is required to access things in the perk tree.

See, in my playthrough, I chose to get all of the discounts first, making sure that my production chain was as cheap as possible to maximize money. This worked great and the money was pouring in, but I couldn't get the XP in a timely manner to unlock any of the advanced machinery or advanced markets. I was making crazy amounts of money but for no purpose as all I could do was pump out a bunch of low cost high return basic jobs.

Another problem is the way that the game has the robots act. I saw a few other reviews mention this, but there is a complete lack of possibility to streamline the production chain. Lets say one part of building a duck needs a painting machine. Want to have 2 painting machines so you can paint at double the pace? Yeah, no. The game only lets you assign one machine per part of the job and there is no way to expand it. You can only be as efficient as the game allows you to be, which is not very efficient at all.

I'm not recommending this game, not because I didn't enjoy my time with it, the couple hours I spent playing were fun, but because the game does very little in the way of factory and production tycoon management games to show us anything new, and there are other games that do exactly what Smart Factory Tycoon does, just better. It is a good attempt and they got a lot right (the fact that I could go full speed and had no performance issues in a tycoon game is great), but there are most definitely parts of this game that feel sorely lacking. If it really does interest you and you see it on a decent sale, maybe pick it up, but I wouldn't buy it at full price. A poor copy of another game. I don't mind it being a copy if it were actually better. And to its credit, it does make some improvements over Little Big Workshop, the game it is copying from. But, it gets wrong many of the things that Little Big Workshop got right. And what's more, it still gets wrong nearly everything that LBW got wrong.

And what's more, it's just an ugly game. Lazy artwork, clunky models, colors that are either too pastel or ugly and muddy, and just a really janky feel to all the visuals. Beyond that, there are some issues with the control scheme, particularly that you can't fix via rebinding.

All in all, somewhere between meh and bad

i played this game for a bit less than an hour before i got mad at my little robots and decided to reinstall little big workshop instead.

I decided to be a bit more effecient than the game advises you to be by buying 4 robots with 2 of every charging machine so they can take turns. they dont. you would think that over time (playing at 5 times speed) it naturaly comes a rythm where 2 are charging and then the other 2. well guess again.

my second gripe is the fact that when a robot goes to charge the job he was doing gets locked meaning the other robots wont go and do the job instead and if you think my little robot just painted a ducky and has put it in storgae he will now surely grab an unpainted ducky from the same storage to go paint it. aaaaaaand they dont they proceed to go outside to grab paint and let another robot grab the ducky.

And a third annoyance that might be further in the game but just didnt feel like waiting it out. i want to be able to assign 2 painting machines to this painting job so i can have double the products in 1 job instead of having to make 2 seperate jobs.

All in all i see the potential but for now i would suggest playing something more finished and leave this in the oven for a bit

Still on the fence about this game, therefor I'm giving it a thumbs down. Its too much like a copy cat of Little Big Workshop. Feels identical, with the exception of robots. Gameplay is laggy too, so it hard to see you factory. If you enable day times, the factory gets dark and there is no option for lighting in your factory.
Over all this feels poorly made and too much of a "copy and run" before someone tries to file copyright against it. Too many games on Steam are copycats of other games anymore.
