Microprose bought a developer called Sharpe end studio that were making a Lancaster sim called Valliant effort.
That was the studio that was leading development on Bloody 100th.
By not delivering this game, they've also done us out of the development efforts for the Lancaster sim, which was supposed to become part of the bloody 100th game.
So, far from just teasing us one game and not delivering. They've done it with 2.

Just seem to be concentrating on the VR version, doubt we will see this till 2026 if ever

The B-17 model they're making for MS flight sim feels like an effort to salvage what they've done here. Wouldn't mind betting their other models will follow suit. But it seems like a nail in the coffin.

Might just be a way for them to make some money from their assets whilst they continue work. But if all they have is a working B17 model there will be a heck of a lot of other stuff to do yet. Probably looking for several more years before we see anything on this game.

I've taken it off my wish list anyway until we see something solid.

There was something on discord recently, a sound tech posted something about working on this game and this game still being in development

Yes, but its in early development. There is still a long way to finish the game and dont expect official communication until at least beta.

Not sure if that's a joke.
Microprose bought Sharpe end studio as devs for this bringing on board the game they were working on as content (valiant effort with Lancasters with at least a further year of development time on it's own)
It was identified that the devs were working on a B-17 game with microprose in Nov 2020, over 4 years ago in this article in Canada

While it began as Spearin's own stand-alone project, Valiant Effort will be included in the next version of the popular B-17 Flying Fortress series.

It might have a troubled development with a small team and Outera seemingly leaving without public explanation, and it's definitely slow. But early? No.
