I was banned for relatively innocuous statements on Xenonauts 2. Some devs have thinned skins. Time to take THIS game off my wishlist.
I am going off this Microprose they aren't performing as well as the previous incarnation. Their games have all been a bit rubbish so far, except for Regiments. I guess the old Microprose really is dead, we don't seem to be getting any new combat sims from them that I would call decent, just remakes of very old games that I do not want to play anymore, or new arcade style games.
There is no official confirmation that the game has been cancelled though some have spread unsubstantiated /un-evidenced rumours about it
The vast majority of the games released to date have been successful with Positive to Very Positive ratings. It's important to remember that the original Microprose was not just about combat sims but also strategy games maybe the names Civilization, Master of Orion, Pirates etc ring a bell with you?, the new Microprose has a similarly scoped portfolio, the B-17 games will be the first internally developed titles and as such they are both learning and try ng to ensure that they deliver the best possible gaming experience in the spirit of the old Microprose, but unfortunately that all takes time but I do agree that even a little nugget of communication occasionally would be most welcome and put paid to the 'game is dead" posts.
